Overwatch 2·Player Archetype

OW2 cut one tank slot from the roster, which made you the only wall left. Enemy calls tank diff. Teammates call tank diff. The old you would quietly pull up the stats screen, confirm your damage absorbed was first on the team, and swallow it. Not anymore. You've watched the tank sit-in protests since April, and you've done the math on how much a silent, obedient tank actually loses by staying quiet. When the healer starts politicking about your pick, you don't switch. You also stop grinding it out on the "correct" tank out of pure duty. You lock Mauga, walk off to an empty room, and go find the enemy tank for a 1v1. The other eight can handle their own 4v4. Someone asks why. You type one word: "I know." Then you keep doing exactly what you were doing.

You don't need it to look good. You just need it to work.

You get inted and keep playing. Teammates envy the calm.

Symptoms
  • 01Both teams called tank diff again this game. This time you screenshotted the chat log, not the stats screen.
  • 02When the healer starts politicking, you don't argue. You type "cut it out" and lock Mauga.
  • 03You've typed "I know" in chat three times this week. That's the whole message, every time.
  • 04You can explain the exact difference between an orthodox tank and a rogue tank, and lately you've started picking rogue on purpose.
  • 05Every time Mauga says "I know" in that voice line, you smirk a little. Only your people get the joke.
